So you are ready to begin a new adventure: a two-wheeled adventure. Before you buy your first scooter or motorcycle, here are some very important considerations and questions that you should ask of the seller, especially if the seller is a motor vehicle dealer.

?

What type of warranty comes with the scooter or motorcycle. Does the manufacturer offer it or does the seller offer it?

Seminole Scooters sells only new scooters and motorcycles that come with a manufacturer's warranty. Warranties are typically 1 - 2 year warranties. If we sell a used bike, and the warranty is still in force, we give you the balance of that warranty. We will not sell a new vehicle that is not warrantied by the manufacturer.

?
Is the warranty in writing and does it explain exactly what it will cover? All of the warranties that we offer from the manufacturers are in writing and specifically outline what they cover and what they don't cover.
?
Is there a reputable repair facility where you live that is qualified to repair this model? Seminole Scooters is the authorized repair facility for all of the makes and models of scooters and motorcycles that we sell. Additionally many of the other scooter/motorcycle dealers in our area send us their rides to repair because Robert, our owner and chief tech is a German Guild-Certified Master Mechanic.
?
What is the true cost of the vehicle? Seminole Scooters gives you the "out the door" price of the vehicle. We tell you the cost of the vehicle, the amount of local tax you have to pay, the cost of the license plate and what it costs you to title the vehicle. We do not charge for preparation!
?
Will the vehicle come to you fully assembled, or will you have to assemble it all or in part yourself and do you have the skills and the tools to do it correctly? Seminole Scooters ensures that each and every scooter or motorcycle has been completely assembled correctly, has all of the required fluids and, most importantly, that every system works as it was designed. We test drive every vehicle we sell before you get it.
?
How will you get the vehicle registered? Do you get a title to the vehicle or only an MCO (Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin) and will Florida accept it from that seller? Some sellers and some scooter manufacturers are not registered with the state and therefore the vehicles cannot be registered in Florida Since we are the authrorized dealership for 5 makes of scooters and motorcycles, Seminole Scooters is able to register the vehicle for you and have DMV send you the title after the sale. We also handle the title and transfer process for all of our used vehicles as well.
?
What if you need parts, are parts available and is the manufacturer still in business? We carry parts and accessories for all of the manufacturers that we represent. We are also able to procure parts and accessories for most major scooter lines.
?
Does the vehicle fit you? Not every scooter is a good fit for every rider. Some are bad for riders with long legs and some are bad for riders with short legs -and you won't know until you sit on one. Since we have a large sortment in stock and urge our customers to sit on the units and see if they are comfortable. We will also special order certain makes/models if we do not have them in stock when you visit.
?
Will the dealer be there next year or in two years? Seminole Scooters has been in business for a decade and we exect to be selling scooters and motorcycles for decades to come.
